Searching For Freeware

Published by msaufong under Internet Related

Well, I know I should not find any crashed software to use, but it just too costly for me to buy so much software. Anyway, I am trying my best not to use those shareware or trial software which have limited features or with some control in the software. Therefore, I am starting to search for freeware, although not all the freeware is suitable to me, but at least I have more chance to use suitable software for some of my work.

Desktop FLV Concerter Version

Published by msaufong under Internet Related, Software

I have downloaded the vixy.net converter desktop version (beta) to test after used its website to convert FLV video. I thought the desktop version would work faster than the online FLV converter. However, I was wrong. I tried to download the same FLV video at the same time using the desktop version and online converter. Surprisingly the online version is much faster than the desktop version.

Anyway, if you are interested to try the converter desktop version, you could download it at http://vixy.net. It is free but with ads and will be expiring at 30 June 2008.

Sold My Used Camera Through Mudah.com.my

Jess introduced a website to me. She is selling her homemade clothing in http://www.mudah.com.my. In addition, have quite good response from there. I tried the website yesterday (FREE TO INSERT ADS) because I want to sell my secondhand Panasonic camera. I have listed in eBay and lelong for 7 days before but both have no bidder, although I received few email regarding the auction.

I insert the ads in Mudah.com.my yesterday and immediately received about 8 – 10 email from interested buyers. I am very satisfied with the results although it is quite hassle to deal with them through email. Anyway, someone has booked the camera on the night and I successful to sell it off on today. Price is as what I expected. Good deal.

Free Storage For Photo

Published by msaufong under Internet Related

I do not like to store my picture in server. I am having fear to move server, i could not stand for moving tonnes of files from old server to new server. I rather keep all those files in website that offer free storage for photo. Below are the website I store my photo.

  • Photobucket.com
  • Flickr.com

Btw, I prefer website no. 1 rather than 2 because of the file name stored in the website. However, flickr has feature that photobucket does not has. Too bad, photobucket does not support Blog from handphone and email.

Can’t Load Google And Gmail Website

Published by msaufong under Internet Related

I still can’t find the reason why I could not use my cousin’s laptop to load Google and Gmail website. I am scratching my head now. Will it because of the website my cousin often visit mostly is China website, so his browser have automatically selected his country as China and blocked all the Google related website?

I wonder how much money will Google lost after blocked by China. As what I know China is a very big market. I am sure they will earn a huge amount with the only 10% of China residents are using Google search Engine. Hmm…maybe this is good for us actually, at least not all the countries treat Google as Big brother in Cyberworld. :p
