I have forgot I blog about the fireftp tutorial previously. I have forgot I should show Jess the tutorial when she asked my how to upload file to the server. I was planning to write for her if I could not remember I done it before.

I do not know I have to submit my blog to MSN actually. I thought their search engine will automatically update their system if found any new website. However, I am still see the ZERO link in the MSN search after a year. So I think better submit the blog to their search engine manually. Below is the URL for new site submission.

I just downloaded the Shylock Adsense and testing on it since last week in my New Home Recipe Blog. I like the easy arrangement of Adsense and it looks pretty simple for me to arrange in particulars post and place.

You can paste 10 different type of Google adsense code in the Set Code. In addition, it previews the ads in the set code page after you updated. This is pretty easy for you to select what designs of ads you want. In addition, I like the most is the FrontPage setting which I can select two ads to show in post and one in the sidebar.

I am just started to try the netfirms hosting package which just cost US10 per annual included 2 free domain registration. So far, this is the cheapest hosting price I could ever get online. However, I am kind of disappointed with the server services. It took more than half an hour to upload the wordpress file to the server. Oh my.. that server loading slower than turtle! I can’t stand for the lousy server after half an hour upload.

I will try to upload again in different timing again, I hope that this will be just a temporary problem.

Last few days, Miche and Chooi Peng show me the Realranks website. According to them, this said this is a website able to check our blog real Rank, which might be one of the requirement of advertiser in the future and ThreeP company. I am not sure is it real or not but I do tried it to check my kids blog.

Surprisingly the rank is quite good, even better than some of the famous blog. But I know there not the real rank advertiser wanted from the result I read. My Kid’s blog impossible to have such good traffic or ranking if compare to others famous blog. I don’t believe it at all.

I am not a good blogger, because I don’t know how to blog! Yeap, I been thinking of what should I write in my own blog since very long time ago. I heard so many professional and problogger comment that we should write some quality and good content post. Yeap, I understand what do they mean.

I have to tell that so sorry, I can’t write good and quality content as per they request. When I started my blog, I never think of what should I write but only write everything that related with my children. Why now we have to think until headache just to write a so call good content? I think mostly is related with money. Who will care about the quality if no related with money?

Will you pay for the template you like? I know some of the blogger do willing to pay for nice and beautiful template. I think the most important to pay for the template is must get a hassle free template, which mean you don’t need to fix or change the template. And the web designer will help you to settle all your problem.

For me, I am too stingy to do that. There are so many beautiful and nice wordpress template available in the http://themes.wordpress.net/. Of course, you wouldn’t find the perfect theme for your blog, unless you edit the theme by yourself. You gotto learn how to edit the blog theme, actually it is very fun to do the editing, just that you have to spend much time on doing it.

I almost forget that I still have few blog that haven’t upgrade to Wordpress 2.31 version yet. I getting lazy to upgrade the wordpress version now. Maybe because wordpress are working too hard on improving their software and keep released new version.

I think I have been upgraded at least 5 - 6 time in this year. Try to imagine you have to upgrade 5 - 6 blog in one go. Ohh…that have to spend quite a lot of time to completed all! But what to do? hmm…maybe I just skip one version and wait for next upgrade. :p

What will you do if you found that your wordpress blog having problem?

If I am have just upgrade your wordpress version, then I probably will check below :-

• Try to deactivate all the plugin to see is the problem causes by those plugin. Then activate it one by one to test all the plugins.
• Check the wordpress file in your server, is there any file with 0 (ZERO) size, this might because of interrupted when uploading the file. You have to replace a new file if you found any 0 (ZERO) size file.

If you are looking an easy way to earn a little bit of money from your blog, then you should try to you submit your blog to money4blogs.com. I discovered this website which is buying link from blog. So far, I have submitted 3 blogs to them. I got US$30 for each Blogspot blog with PR4 and PR3 respectively. Not much traffic for both blog but still the amount is good enough.

Own domain is much more profitable. I get US$70 for a PR3 blog plus no heavy traffic. This might not a good earning for who having higher PR and heavy traffic blog, but it is worth to submit if your blog are having less traffic. US$30 is enough for me to pay for 1 year hosting package.

I want to create the icon next to the url very long time already, but I just very lazy to start it. Anyway, I am very happy because finally I found a post to teach me how to create the icon. Sorry I forgot where is the post I copy below guide already, if you are the blog owner please let me know, I will link you here. :p

1. First of all you need a icon generator. Paint and Photoshop software can be use to.
2. Create or Make a image with 50X 50 resolution of a square.
3. Save the image file as jpg, gif or bmp file.
4. Paste below simple coding into the head section of your website’s homepage source.

Do you notice that there are still many wordpress themes that available for download in theme.wordpress.net are not support widget yet? 2 months ago, I’m still don’t know how to use widget yet, yeap..I am kind of slow blossom in discover fun thing

But now I fall in love with wordpress widget, it just too easy to play with. I don’t need to search for those troublesome html code anymore. All is copy and paste will do. They separate those widget and user just drag and drop. Very easy

I had been using Google Sitemap Generator from Arnebrachhold.de since many months ago, It help updated my blog frequently. But too bad it’s doesn’t work after I upgraded to Wordpress 2.3. My blog having problem when I activated the plug in. I have temporary unactivated the plugin.

So happy to see that now another latest version have been release at Sept 24, 2007. I will try to install the plug and activate it again. I hope that it will working well with Wordpress 2.3.

I just finished upgrade all my blog to Wordpress 2.3 version. It’s very take time if you want to upgrade to many blog, this was the only reason why I being lazy to upgrade. Anyway, the upgrade is pretty easy, because I have done it few times. This version was a little bit different in the final step.

All the step at the beginning are the same as what I blog about it few month ago. You can view the step by step Overview of the Wordpress Upgrade Process in my blog.

After uploaded all the file into your server, you have to visit the upgrade page with URL http://example.com/wordpress/wp-admin/upgrade.php.

You will see above screen after type in the URL http://example.com/wordpress/wp-admin/upgrade.php, just click Upgrade wordpress. 

Then, your database has been successfully upgraded within few seconds.

I’m searching around to see is there any smiley icon suitable to use in wordpress. I think reading post with smiley icon will be more attracting than a normal post, isn’t it? Too bad, I haven’t find anything yet. I wonder how other blogger manage their blog, their blog looks very attractive. I have found a simple way to change the current smiley in wordpress. The problem now is I don’t know where to find suitable smiley icon. I need some smiley icon that is small and cute. I don’t like those smiley which looks BIG, seems like occupied too much of place in a post. Will try to search for it again and will post about how to replace the current smiley later.
