Published by msaufong at 6:44 am under Internet Related, Webmaster

Sub domain

  • For example my domain is msaufong.com.
  • I install a wordpress and put in in a directory called msaufong.com/myhomerecipe/.
  • You can turn the directory board into a sub-domain by adding it as a sub-domain from your Control Panel.
  • Now you can access your Message board as either msaufong.com/myhomerecipe OR myhomerecipe.msaufong.com
  • This costs you nothing and is free.

Add-On Domains

  • You have two domains msaufong.com and myhomerecipe.com.
  • You want the two domains to be totally independent websites.
  • You use this to host a totally different domain name associated with a subdirectory/subdomain within your primary domain’s hosting account.

Parked Domain

  • You have two domains msaufong.com and myhomerecipe.com.
  • msaufong.com is the domain of your website and you want to add myhomerecipe.com.
  • You want them both to go to the same place. In other words, when someone types either msaufong.com or myhomerecipe.com they will go to the same page(s) on your blog/website.
