The Different Of SubDomain, Add-On Domains & Parked Domain
Sub domain
- For example my domain is msaufong.com.
- I install a wordpress and put in in a directory called msaufong.com/myhomerecipe/.
- You can turn the directory board into a sub-domain by adding it as a sub-domain from your Control Panel.
- Now you can access your Message board as either msaufong.com/myhomerecipe OR myhomerecipe.msaufong.com
- This costs you nothing and is free.

Add-On Domains
- You have two domains msaufong.com and myhomerecipe.com.
- You want the two domains to be totally independent websites.
- You use this to host a totally different domain name associated with a subdirectory/subdomain within your primary domain’s hosting account.
Parked Domain
- You have two domains msaufong.com and myhomerecipe.com.
- msaufong.com is the domain of your website and you want to add myhomerecipe.com.
- You want them both to go to the same place. In other words, when someone types either msaufong.com or myhomerecipe.com they will go to the same page(s) on your blog/website.
