Registered Post Vs Parcel Post

Published by msaufong at 10:14 am under Online Business

I wasn’t really understand what is the different of registered Post & Parcel Post when I starting to doing business in Malaysia eBay.. But I think is good to understand it..which may helping me to save some postage cost.

So I was study abit on this..included ask the post officer or call their services center. Lucky this time the answer their given more or less are the same……(too many experience of getting different answer from the same question..:P)

Basically, for light weight stuff which is not more then 250g, is worth to choose registered post. the maximum postage charges for less then 250g is RM1.00 for domestic. plus the RM1.70 (inlcuded 30 cents stamp) . Total amount you have to pay is RM2.40.

For item over 500g, I suggest you to take the parcel post. from the answer provided by post officer, this 2 method actually are the same..both have tracking number that able to track.. the only different is registered post are trackable online but parcel post don’t..you have to call their phone to check for it.

Parcel post within West Malaysia charges like below :

Below 1 kgs = RM2.50
1Kgs - 2 Kgs = RM3.50
2 Kgs - 3 Kgs = RM4.50

Check the Malaysia postage rate online at here.
